Ep 7 - A Strange Man

Hyacinth sees a strange man emerging from Elizabeth's house dressed in only a towel. This sends her hysterical, concerned about the moral degradation of the neighbourhood. The man was actually Emmet, Elizabeth's brother. Meanwhile, Daddy has gone missing.

Ep 8 - Driving Mrs Fortescue

Hyacinth and Richard drive the aristocratic and brash Mrs Fortescue into town. Hyacinth's plans to impress are crushed when Daisy and Rose stop them for a lift and they all somehow end up in a local pub.

Ep 9 - The Candlelight Supper

Hyacincth has plans to impress Emmet with her musical skills at an elaborate supper. Her plans are scuppered when Rose turns up with two aggressive men in tow.

The Buckets are invited to a golfing weekend at a hotel by the Major. Unfortunately, Rose is also there and Onslow and Daisy come to collect her. Her troubles are completed by the amorous advances of the Major.

Ep 12 - Onslow's Birthday

Hyacinth is dreading an invite to Onslow's birthday party, but changes her mind when she finds out that she and Richard will be picked up in a limo owned by Rose's Greek boyfriend. Hyacinth decides to hold a gathering at her house to impress her neighbours as she departs in the luxury vehicle. Then a hearse arrives.

Ep 13 - Singing for Emmet

Richard ponders early retirement and imagines a future spending every day with Hyacinth. Emmet is angry when Hyacinth ends up rehearsing a performance for the old people at the Church Hall with him. Then a tranquilised Rose arrives on the scene wanting to become a nun.

Ep 14 - The Toy Store

Daddy visits the toy store and destroys a few toys with the help of a screwdriver. This endangers Hyacinth's social status when she encounters Mrs Councillor Nugent in town while attempting to retrieve Daddy.

Ep 15 - The Three-Piece-Suite


Airdate: 27 October 1991

Hyacinth is very excited at the prospect of having her new three piece suite delivered. It is an exact replica of the one at Sandringham House. Daisy and Onslow are having her old one, provided they pick it up themselves. The confluence of these two events portend another social disaster.

Ep 16 - A Picnic for Daddy


Airdate: 3 November 1991

Hyacinth arranges a picnic for Daddy, but things go deadly wrong when the old man decides to test drive the Buckets' car. A car chase results between him and the rest of the family. When Onslow's car breaks down, the vicar and his wife pick up Hyacinth and her family. All ends well when the police show up.

Ep 17 - The Father Christmas Suit


Airdate: 25 December 1991

Hyacinth hires a Father Christmas outfit for Richard to wear when distributing gifts to the old people at the Church Hall. Reluctantly, Richard puts it on, but after one too many sherries with Emmet, Elizabeth must don the outfit and pretend to be him.
