Ep 35 - The Mayors Fancy Dress Ball

Hyacinth prepares for the Mayor's fancy dress ball, but is greatly displeased with the costumes Richard hires for them. Meanwhile, Rose announces that she is engaged to a Polish man whose name she cannot pronounce.

Ep 36 - Hyacinth is Alarmed

Richard realises he has forgotten his and Hyacinth's wedding anniversary. He nearly saves the day when he decides to have an alarm system installed, claiming it is Hyacinth's "surprise" anniversary present.

Ep 37 - A Riverside Picnic

Hyacinth organises a waterside picnic with riparian entertainment much to the despair of those she invites. Emmet and the vicar try hard to escape but fail in their efforts. As usual her plans are shattered when a digger dumps dirt in her chosen location.

Ep 38 - Skis

For Richard's birthday, Hyacinth purchases a brand new pair of skis in the hopes that they will look good on top of the car. Meanwhile, Rose starts dating a Christian man and seeks the advice of the vicar about whether or not there is life after death.

Ep 39 - Country Estate Sale

Hyacinth and Richard set out to attend a country house sale. Hyacinth, as usual, is excited about mingling with the aristocracy but Richard is worried that she will make some rashly extravagant purchases.

When Bruce and Violet's constant arguing threatens to put a dampener on Hyacinth's luxury outdoor barbecue, she resorts to desperate musical measures to keep her family scandals secret. Things get even worse when Daddy throws a bucket of horse manure on the buffet.
